The last few days and weeks have been one big slaughter. Clearing out the flat in Regensburg and storing all the decimated belongings in my parents’ cellar, two three-and-a-half tonne lorries full. Some renovating, whitewashing and cleaning. Many thanks to all the helping hands, I could never have done it without you. Well…some of it still isn’t. Painter will do the rest :-)

Despite months of meticulous preparation, daily packing of things and a meticulous plan, in the end I only have time for the most important things. A few emails to friends (sorry, only minimally individual), final work on website projects.
i can only skim through 5kg of travel guides, not read them. But I don’t want to drag myself to death with it either, so some of it will probably remain unread here. Makes the journey more open…

I’ve sharpened my web design axe, encrypted and reorganised important files, made security backups on the Internet and on DVD … oh wait, the latter is still missing. All things are packed and checked several times, documents sorted, traveller’s cheques collected, flights confirmed.

All the labouring in the draught has left its mark. If I had the time, I would buy a sign language book: my voice is almost completely gone. Apart from that, I’m looking forward to finally sleeping late again in a city that never sleeps.

I wish you all a great summer!
