I’m back in my new old home in Regensburg. After a year travelling the world and half a year on the road, it was time for a permanent home. There are strange challenges: Staying in one place. Not making new friends every day. Finishing a book and starting a new one.

A long search led me to my dream flat. I’ve been living in an art nouveau villa in Luitpoldstraße in the centre of Regensburg for four weeks now. My gas boiler has already exploded, the boiler has failed, the RCD has jumped, the couch has broken, the ceiling has fallen on my head and the walls have come crashing down. In other words: I feel very comfortable here.

I would like to invite you all to celebrate my new old home with me.

When? Saturday, 4 April 2009 at 18.00 h.

Where? Luitpoldstr. 15a, Regensburg, Germany

Who? I’m especially looking forward to seeing all the old friends from home and all the new ones from the long journey…

How: It’s a 10-minute walk from the railway station. Car: Parking 200 metres further on in Sedanstraße, Reichsstraße or Richard-Wagnerstraße. I can also organise a pick-up from Munich Airport.

Why? Because there’s good music and people, beer & wine and, as always, far too much food …

What else? If you want to bring something with you: We’d welcome a top-up of the house bar in the upper per mille range, please let us know in advance.

How long? There is enough space for about 30 people to sleep, please bring a sleeping mat / air mattress / sleeping bag!

And then? Tragically, the following Sunday is also Adlersberg (Regenburger Starkbieranstich). If you are able to drink: bring picnic blankets and warm clothes, it can get cold out on the mountain.

I look forward to seeing you there!
